Keep your workers safe with guidance from OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration). Here are some recent headlines from the agency on best practices and lessons learned.

Raising Awareness on Fall Hazards: OSHA plans to hold a national safety stand-down from June 2 through June 6 to raise awareness about fall hazards, a leading cause of deaths in the construction industry.

OSHA wants employers and workers to use the stand-down as a time to discuss fall prevention, ladder safety, scaffolding safety and roofing work safety. The stand-down is just the latest part of OSHA’s continuous Fall Prevention Campaign. For more information, click here.

Company Cited for 11 Safety and Health Violations: A manufacturer was cited by OSHA for 11 safety and health violations and faces $77,770 in fines. According to OSHA, the company failed to train and protect workers in hazardous confined spaces, implement safe lockout/tagout processes when maintaining equipment, provide required protection for workers operating in dangerously high noise levels and ensure forklift operators had safe work habits.
